Pritheva Zakaria, Headliners of Summer

Pritheva Zakaria is a rising sophomore at New York University, double majoring in Journalism and English. She is from Long Island, New York, which means she loves the beach, pizza, and bagels. She is currently a writer for NYU’s student-led newspaper, Washington Square News, and writes for various boards, such as Arts, Opinion, and Culture, and her articles can be found here: https://nyunews.com/staff_name/pritheva-zakaria/. Zakaria has also written for Generasian, which is NYU’s club that promotes Asian journalism, and her article can be found here: https://generasian.blog/author/phz5457/. She has also written for various non-school related journalism sites, such as the Carbon Newsprint which promotes environmental sustainability. She considers herself Taylor Swift’s biggest fan, and because of her love for music, Zakaria is interested in promoting intersectionality in music and entertainment. Her hobbies include: reading, writing, crafting, exploring NYC, hanging out with friends, and doing her makeup. She has a younger brother and older sister, which means that she is the middle child, so no wonder why she turns to reading and writing as her outlets! Zakaria is passionate about reporting on stories that matter, and sharing her voice with the world. (May 2023)
