Fun Fact: These gorgeous Highland cows are the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world!

The Scottish Highlands were extremely gorgeous and reminded me of the scenery in Western Canada and Alaska. It was a gorgeous day with bright blue skies, which was great, and the temperatures were nice, in the 60s and 70s. Our bus driver for the tour, Ryan, was an amazing person and so funny! He made the entire experience so much better!

The moment that my sister and I could not wait for was seeing the Highland cows, which was our last stop on the tour. My sister was so excited, and it honestly made her day!

If anyone visits Scotland, I believe a Highland tour is a necessity to add to your trip.

Leah Knipper-Davis, Headliners of Summer

Leah Knipper-Davis is a rising sophomore at Iowa State University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Psychology. She graduated from Watertown (Mass.) High School, where she was the photography editor for the Raider Times. She is an intern at the Iowa State Athletics Department as a sports photographer, which she hopes to continue throughout her college career. In high school, she was also a member of the wrestling team, did a lot of mixed martial arts, and was a dancer for 12 years. This summer she is working as a swim instructor and is taking two summer classes through her university. (July 2023)
