Shriya Dharmapurikar is a freshman at Durham Academy in North Carolina. She enjoys writing short stories, novels, and, of course, journalism! Interested in public policy and social issues, she volunteers with Kids Voting Durham to engage youth in democracy and civics. She also helped edit and publish her school’s literary magazine, The Locker. She is a competitive singer and tennis player. (June 2022)
