Starting at 4 a.m. on the dark streets of Brooklyn, blankets and lawn chairs spilled onto the sidewalks of Berry Street in Brooklyn, as hundreds of teenage girls camped out, filling the chilly early morning air, with laughter and conversation. The occasion was Edikted’s warehouse sale.
Edikted, an online women’s fashion brand known for viral trends, manages three locations, in New York, California, and Minnesota. Since the brand has few store locations — where it charges more than online — excitement surged when Edikted announced a three-day warehouse sale in Brooklyn, with prices even lower than those on its website.

Hype from social media and the promise of a free gift for the first 100 customers drew crowds to the warehouse early on the first day, Friday, June 20, 2025. Included was Lydia Welter, the first customer in line for the sale.
“I got there at 3:45 a.m. with a picnic blanket, umbrella, and fully charged phones,” Welter said. “I really thought girls would be there overnight because it’s New York City, but I was completely shocked to be the first one.”
Edikted revealed the long-awaited free gift: a tote bag already available for purchase in stores and online. Many were disappointed by this gift, one that, for many, was the driving force for their early place in line.
“The free gift was a tote bag which I already had and even brought with me to carry clothes,” Welter said.
The brand also teased major markdowns on social media, with prices ranging from only $5 to $15. Edikted kept its word, maintaining those prices throughout the warehouse. This was a major draw for New Yorkers such as Layla Ojeda.

“Their online store is way cheaper than their SoHo location, but I’ve never liked shopping online. It takes away the fun,” Ojeda said. “This was actually my first-ever pop-up event, and I’m officially hooked.”
By 10 a.m., the line wrapped around Wythe Avenue, Berry Street, and Bedford Avenue, with some attendees waiting more than four hours to get inside. Customers brought snacks, blankets, and portable chairs to make the long wait more bearable in the New York City heat.
Edikted actively engaged with customers over Instagram throughout the event, interviewing early arrivals about their experience. Two girls showed off their full setups, equipped with a small tent, and told the brand they had arrived at 3:30 a.m. Edikted continued to post photos and videos highlighting the long lines and the anticipation among dozens of girls waiting to get inside.
Janice Delanube, a 22-year-old Queens native, arrived at the warehouse around 7 a.m. and waited nearly three hours before the doors opened.
“When I got there, people were already camping, and there were probably around 150 girls ahead of me in line,” Delanube said. “This was my first time shopping at one of these warehouse sales, and it had such a good variety of clothing.”

Delanube highlighted the challenge of finding sizes that accommodated a range of body types.
“I’m a size M/L, which I think is pretty common, so I was a little disappointed there weren’t many options in my size,” Delanube said.
Even those who arrived later in the day felt the event lived up to the hype. Melanie Jimenez, who got to the warehouse around 10 a.m. and entered by 1:30 p.m., said it was well worth the wait.

“When I got there, the line went down three avenues, and people were still joining by the time I got in,” Jimenez said. “It was 100 percent worth it because the workers were constantly restocking, so there was always something new to look at.”
Jimenez also praised the setup and the friendliness of the girls on the line.
“The sale was really worth it, almost 80 percent off normal prices,” Jimenez said. “The setup was organized, and the wait didn’t feel long because everyone was chatting and making TikToks together about the event. I’ll definitely go again if they repeat it next year.”
Lauren Custodio, a local New Yorker and loyal Edikted customer, arrived around 10:45 a.m. Sunday and described noticeable differences in inventory on the final day of the sale.
“It was raining, and the line was already wrapping around the block,” Custodio said. “You could definitely tell it was the last day though because items weren’t as organized, and a lot of the popular stuff was already gone.”
Despite the chaos of the event, the Brooklyn warehouse sale made a lasting impact with amazing discounts, high energy, and widespread social media attention. If Edikted hosts future events, shoppers from New York City and neighboring states are likely to turn out.
As Ojeda put it, “This lady jogging past the line told her friend she’s never seen this many teenage girls in her life.”
