Marcos Chavez is a rising senior at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, Ill., where he is a staff writer for its student newspaper “the Echo.” Outside of journalism, he plays varsity and club soccer and loves all things science. In college, he hopes to pursue degrees in Public Health and/or Molecular Biology and write for his school’s paper. (July 2022)
