Ana Agudelo, Headliners of Summer
Ana Agudelo is a junior at Hunter College, majoring in Media Studies with a concentration in Journalism. She currently serves as a Culture Reporter and a CUNY News & Local Government Reporter for The Hunter Envoy, Hunter College’s student-led newspaper.
An artist and college student born and raised in Queens, New York City, Ana draws deeply from her Latin roots and the vibrant culture of her Colombian family. Growing up in a single-parent household helped shape her worldview, allowing her to develop a strong sense of resilience and a passion for storytelling.
She lives by the belief that “life’s a gift,” and like Jack Dawson in “Titanic” (her all time favorite movie), she doesn’t intend on wasting it.
Literature and music serve as Ana’s sanctuaries. She finds inspiration in the works of Franz Kafka, Vladimir Nabokov, and Jane Austen, as well as in the music of Lana Del Rey, Fleetwood Mac, and The Smiths. Their exploration of the human experience greatly influences her creative work.
Each piece Ana writes reflects her personal journey and serves as a true reminder of the power of authentic storytelling. She embraces the responsibility of sharing her own story while amplifying the voices of those unheard. Ana is committed to creating art that connects and inspires ensuring that all her stories are a blend of everything she believes in! <3
