Step out of your city and escape into the Wizarding World with Imagine’s Harry Potter: The Exhibition!
Harry Potter: The Exhibition is located right outside of the CambridgeSide mall in Cambridge, Mass., and will be open through April 27, 2025, for witches and wizards of all ages to enjoy. It features authentic props from the movie franchise, and parts of the set are replicated for great photo opportunities throughout, encapsulating the magic of the Harry Potter film franchise that has enchanted the lives of millions.
“Harry Potter: The Exhibition is literally the perfect thing for families, or for people of all ages,” said Patrice Cleaves, senior director of sales and marketing at Imagine Exhibitions. “Whether or not you’re a fan of the world of Harry Potter or not, just looking to immerse yourself in a new world is pretty phenomenal.”
As a Harry Potter fan, I was thrilled to immerse myself in the Wizarding World. After arriving at the event, I created my own profile where I chose my house, wand, and Patronus, making me an official Hogwarts student. I then followed Harry’s journey throughout the movies. I played Quidditch, visited Hagrid’s hut, and participated in various classes through an interactive screen, even brewing an amortentia in potions class.
The books — which are my favorite aspect of the brand — are not the focus of the exhibition, as it highlights the novelty and timelessness of the movie series. I have always held the Harry Potter characters very close to my heart, and seeing the costumes that were worn during the films I have seen so many times was my favorite part of each curated room.
The exhibition resembles what I would imagine to be a small-scale Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, but it makes the experience accessible as it travels around the world, allowing fans in various locations to experience the magic.
Harry Potter is a household name, and has been a series passed on through generations. This experience is the perfect way to connect the children whose parents may have exposed them to the Wizarding World, and the adults themselves.
