This “Postcards from Italy” series has been a great way for me to keep my journalism in shape, although I got another reporting outlet this past week. In one of my classes at EF Rome, we spent the week creating a newspaper. We each wrote stories ranging from news to features, vignettes, and even an exaggerated gossip column. The paper, named “Allora…” (“So…” in English) was written entirely in Italian, and I wrote a piece on the school’s dress code. It was an entertaining and engaging way to combine my writing and language skills, and now I have a sweet souvenir to take home!
From Roma with love, Kate
